Also under the Resource drop down menu (under Word Work), you will find optional activities for your child to do throughout the week.
If you prefer not to print, that is okay. Please provide your child with ten rectangles the width of two inches by length of four inches. Your child will need these cards along with a writing tool to interact with the video lessons for this week.

You will notice that there will be lots of videos, optional worksheets, and teacher made videos during this unit. For most first grade classes in the district, this is the first time learning about adding tens to a 2 digit number. This skill is a major foundational skill in first grade. A few classes were working in this unit when long distance learning began and others had completed the unit. Regardless of where your student left off, the lessons are important to complete. Have fun learning about adding 10s to 2 digit numbers!!! There a tons of hands-on options during the next 2 weeks.
