Today’s lesson will be to Create a landscape! Read below for step by step directions! Create a landscape (a picture of the outside)
This can be a drawing of a beach, a forest, mountains, a city with buildings, a street with a house or houses! Your landscape must include at least 3 objects (trees, animals, sun, moon, stars, mountains, clouds, buildings, cars, people etc.)
Start by drawing a horizon line- this is the line that separates the land from the sky!
Use as much detail as you can.
Objects that you draw in the background - sitting on the horizon line or close to the horizon line, or in the sky will be smaller.
Objects that are drawn in the middle of the ground will be medium size.
Objects that are drawn lower on the paper are closest, these are drawn larger and this is called the foreground.
You can overlap the objects your draw to create interesting landscapes!
Remember to draw lightly in case you need to erase!
Here is an example of what your landscape may look like
(the mountains may still look big but remember if you were close to the mountain, you wouldn’t see the top!)
