Good Morning Grade 1 Learners!
You are up and getting ready to begin another week of distance learning. All of the First Grade Teachers are extremely proud of your work during our time apart. It has been great to get together for a social group. We loved seeing your smiling faces and hearing your voices. In writing today, you are going to need to activate those five senses for writing about the setting for your story. If the weather permits, take time to sit outside and close your eyes. Use your five senses to make a picture in your mind of where you are.

Let's explore length by using indirect measurement to find out "about" how long the items in the story measure.
Comparing length is fun. We can compare the length of objects and put them in order, from longest to shortest or shortest to longest.
It's time to practice what we learned about length today. How did you compare lengths?
Here are the worksheet pages for the introduction story about length.
