On the night of Aug. 25, 2020, Kyle Rittenhouse armed himself with an AR-15 rifle during a night of unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rittenhouse had lived across the state line, saying he intended to be a medic and protect. On that same night, Rittenhouse had shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and injured Gaige Grosskreutz, 26.

"Mr. Rosenbaum was chasing me. He said he was going to kill me if he got me alone. I was alone. I was running from him. I pointed it at him, and it didn't stop him from continuing to chase me," Rittenhouse testified.

Rittenhouse ran towards the police, followed by Huber and Grosskreutz. Huber had struck Rittenhouse with his skateboard while Grosskreutz was holding a loaded pistol, which he admitted was pointing at Rittenhouse, though saying it was unintentional.

In two weeks of testimony and evidence,. The Daylong turn on the stand by Rittenhouse himself, Jurors deliberated for about 27 hours which lasted four days pronouncing Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of all five counts. This includes first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, first-degree attempted intentional homicide, and two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment.
