NMPED LETRS Help Center - LETRS 3E Participant Progress

The NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker for Active LETRS Participants tracks participant progress toward eligibility to apply for a Reading Endorsement.

To become eligible for a Reading Endorsement, a participant must meet the following requirements:

Attend 40 hours of live facilitated LETRS sessions
Achieve 80% or higher on every LETRS unit assessment and volume posttest
Log 32 hours completing LETRS coursework in the LETRS platform for a total of 40 hours of online coursework

To understand the information on the NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker for Active LETRS Participants, please be sure to read everything in each section below.

Progress toward Reading Endorsement eligibility will be updated on the NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker for Active LETRS Participants during the first week of each month.

Facilitated Session Attendance, Assessment Scores, and Time Spent Completing Online Coursework will be updated through the end of the preceding month.
- Example: All of the attendance, scores, and time from May will be updated during the first week of June.
For the most current Assessment Scores and Time Spent Completing Online Coursework information, please review your progress on the LETRS course platform.

Attendance

Eligibility Requirement

To qualify for a reading endorsement, a participant must attend at least 40 hours of documented live sessions (Facilitated Sessions).

There are 16 live three-hour facilitated sessions built into the LETRS course. To meet the reading endorsement eligibility requirements, participants need to attend a minimum of 14 of the 16 facilitated sessions.

Absent indicates that a participant did not attend a full facilitated session.

Present indicates that a participant attended a full facilitated session.

Please note that attendance defaults to Absent, so if you haven't attended a session because your cohort hasn't been scheduled for that session yet, your attendance for that session will register as Absent.

Time in each session is logged through Zoom attendance reports as well as the LETRS entry and exit forms that participants complete in each session.

All attendance is tied to the email address that the participant used to register for LETRS. If a participant attends a facilitated session and uses a different email address, the attendance will not be logged appropriately.

In this instance, participants are encouraged to complete a Discrepancy Reporting Form.

Scores

Eligibility Requirement

To qualify for a reading endorsement, a participant must achieve a score of 80% or higher on each Unit Assessment and Volume Posttest.

On the NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker for Active LETRS Participants

Scores at or above 80% are indicated as Score Qualifies on the Eligibility Tracker.

Scores below 80% are indicated as DNQ--Does Not Qualify.

Please note that scores default to DNQ, so if you haven't taken an assessment, the score will register as DNQ on the Eligibility Tracker, as there isn't a qualifying score yet.

Important: Do not confuse your Average Unit Score with your Unit Assessment Score. The score recorded on your Certificate of Mastery is the Average Unit Score--not your Unit Assessment Score.

Time

Eligibility Requirement

To qualify for a reading endorsement, a participant must complete at least 40 hours of online coursework.

The LETRS platform automatically logs a participant's time spent in the LETRS course. This time must be at least 32 hours in order for a participant to qualify for a reading endorsement.

Participants are expected to complete Bridge to Practice activities and read their LETRS manuals to complete the additional eight hours of online coursework.

On the NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker for Active LETRS Participants

Participants who have logged 32 or more hours in the LETRS platform have met the time spent completing online coursework eligibility requirement.

This is indicated as TRUE in the Time column. If a participant has not yet met the 32 hour requirement, FALSE will appear instead.

Participants are encouraged to monitor their time spent completing online coursework by reviewing their LETRS Transcripts located on the LETRS platform.

Tracking Your Progress on the Eligibility Trackers

Before You Can Track Your Progress

To track your progress toward Reading Endorsement Eligibility and LETRS coursework completion, you will need your LETRS ID Number that your district or charter's course manager provided you.

If you have not received your LETRS ID Number, please contact your district or charter's course manager.

If you do not know who your course manager is, you may find your course manager's contact information by clicking the Find My Course Manager button below.

To Track Your Progress

If you are a participant in an ongoing LETRS phase, click on the Track My Progress: Ongoing Phases button below to navigate to the NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker for Active LETRS Participants.
If you were a participant in a completed LETRS phase, click on the Track My Progress: Completed Phases button below to navigate to the Completed Phases NMPED Reading Endorsement Eligibility Tracker. Please note that your record has been updated for the last time. It no longer updates each month if you are in an expired Phase.
At the top of the webpage, click on your LETRS Phase.
Read the information in the pink header.
Use your LETRS Participant ID Number to locate your record and track your progress toward reading endorsement eligibility.
Important! Attendance defaults to Absent, so if you haven't attended a session because your cohort hasn't been scheduled for that session yet, your attendance for that session will register as Absent. Assessment Scores default to DNQ, so if you haven't taken an assessment yet, the score will register as DNQ.

When does my LETRS Phase end?

Phases 1-8 have ended.
Phase 9 ends 9/14/2025.
Phase 10 ends 1/14/2026.
Phase 11 ends 11/8/2026.

You can check your individual license expiration date:

Log in to LETRS.
Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner.
Select View Profile.
From the menu on the left, select License Status.
