Five Types of Trainer Certifications

Trainer type determines the specific Core Knowledge Categories and knowledge standards (Set One, Set Two, Set Three) a trainer may use to develop and deliver training:

Master Trainer: develop and deliver certified training that meets Set One, Two, & Three standards in all Core Knowledge Categories.
Specialty Master Trainer: develop and deliver certified training that meets Set One, Two, & Three training standards in the specific Core Knowledge Categories approved for the individual trainer.
Community Trainer: develop and deliver certified training that meets Set One standards in all Core Knowledge Categories.
Specialty Community Trainer: develop and deliver certified training that meets Set One standards in the specific Core Knowledge Categories approved for the individual trainer.
Standardized Trainer: recruited only when a Training of Trainers session is scheduled.

Standardized - Trainers are recruited based on Standardized Training curricula needs. Recruitment opportunities and applications are posted when we are recruiting.

OCCD's Adult Learning training series

These sessions also meet the requirements to complete the Orientation to Oregon's Professional Development Session.
