Community Based Training

Community Based Training sessions are training sessions that are not credit bearing from a college and university that meet the needs of participants within the childhood care and education profession to move up the Oregon Registry Steps 7-10.

Oregon Registry Certified Training

Oregon Registry Certified Training sessions are a type of Community Based Training. They are developed by Oregon Registry Certified Community, Master, Specialty Community, and Specialty Master Trainers or registered Sponsoring Organizations to meet targeted needs of participants within the childhood care and education profession to move up the Oregon Registry Steps 7-10.

If you're new to developing an Oregon Registry Certified training session proposal, we suggest downloading:

  1. Oregon’s Core Knowledge Categories (CKC) for the early learning profession serving children birth to age 8 (you can obtain a copy of the CKC document from OCCD's main website)

Set Two & Set Three

Set Two and Set Three training sessions...

  • must be pre-approved by Oregon Registry Trainer Program Review Teams before they are offered
  • can only be submitted for approval and delivered by certified Master Trainers or registered Sponsoring Organizations
  • certificates must meet the standards in the Training and Education Criteria
