Sit down and create an intentional love letter to yourself. While this prompt may seem straightforward it does not necessarily have to be a written letter, you can get creative with drawing or creating poetry for example, although writing a letter will be the most straightforward way to do this prompt.
Take time out of one of your days. Sit down with the materials that you’ve chosen. It is important that this letter is written or created by hand and not typed on a computer. Write yourself a letter that is full of only praise and love for yourself. You could even make it more intentional by picking something to forgive yourself for. It can be as short or long as you wish, the only requirement is that you write afirmational words to yourself.
A Quick Bio = I am an art student who lives to be creative and to find magic in the mundane.
I am always looking for a ways to access self love on a day to day basis. It is so important to practice giving yourself love and affection because we live in a world that is constantly telling us we are not good enough as we are. It’s not true. I’ve learned that if I do not intentionally show myself love in small ways on a day to day basis my self confidence slips away into the wide world of critiques and criticisms. Writing words of affirmations down improves my mental health profoundly. Even though it sounds like it would not be enough, the simple every day acts are what are medicinal to me. I’m not alone, studies show that this is a therapy practice many people find useful. I am enough and so are you.
