CTHS Dress Code Reminders:
It was the choice of all accepted students to apply to the CHTS Cosmetology program. It is understood that each student is wanting to be a successful Cosmetologist. Therefore, each student will follow the required dress code daily or daily points will be deducted per infraction. Students are being trailed to be professional Cosmetologist and must reflect that.
In the Cosmetology industry, black is the color of our clothing. When servicing a client, shorts, skirts, and dresses are not professional as they do not allow you to work properly and comfortably. Low necklines, short shirt bottoms, extra tight pants, and open toe shoes without a back are also not associated with a professional dress code. Those items are not allowed. Pajama pants are not allowed.
Scrubs, smocks, or lab coats are to be worn daily. The selected colors are black, white and any shade of purple.
You will be wearing this uniform for the next 4 years and once you obtain a job in a salon.
Following are some industry guidelines to follow:
● Excessively long nails are unsanitary when doing services and not allowed

● Hair must be pulled back out of the way when doing services
● Closed toe shoes with a rubber bottom must be worn in the lab areas
● All solid, professional black attire when attending field trips
● Gloves & masks are to be worn while servicing models or clients when appropriate
