We are very proud of our diverse school community and we recognise, welcome and celebrate all pupils. We are committed to ensuring that every child achieves the best possible outcomes regardless of their ethnicity, gender, linguistic and cultural background or learning / physical need.
We include all children and their families in all aspects of school life. Our school environment, curriculum and learning resources reflect our whole community. We include everyone celebrating major events and festivals from a range of faith and cultural identities.
Our priority is to ensure that all pupils are enabled to have access to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. Our curriculum is planned to ensure that every child has the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, spiritually, morally and culturally. Each pupil's individual academic and cultural needs are considered when planning, to ensure the curriculum is accessible and relevant to all. We support our pupils to make informed choices, gaining experiences and developing a sense of responsibility.
Our inclusion lead is available to discuss any concerns and support the early identification of special needs to ensure every child has access to a curriculum tailored to their requirements. Some children may require access to specialist therapy services, positive attitudes and make healthy relationships. We work in partnership with the Barnet Local Offer to access these https://www.barnetlocaloffer.org.uk/.
Our curriculum and learning resources reflect our diverse linguistic and cultural community. This underpins and is embedded in all curriculum areas.
Teachers meet with parents /carers regularly to share pupils' successes and achievements and discuss next steps for their learning journey.
We work in partnership with parents/carers and families so everyone is able to access additional support e.g. parent workshops with experts, the conversation cafe, health professionals and children's services.
