I got my Master’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Pisa on July 2021. My final year project was focused on characterisation and assess the degradation of natural and synthetic textile fibers from cultural heritage and high-fashion contexts.
During my PhD project, which will take place at the University of York and Nice CNRS, I will investigate the survival and degradation of prehistoric wooden artefacts (including carbonised materials) under different burial conditions, to properly contextualise the technological repertoire at archaeological sites - particularly to understand what is missing.
