Week beginning - Monday 17th November 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week, our learners compared modern-day Britain with the Roman Empire, exploring governance, economy, society, technology and beliefs. They used research, thinking and communication skills to find out key information and share with the class. The children were amazed to learn how unequal rights were in Roman times—especially for children!
We also had an excellent assembly about young carers, discovering who they are and the incredible responsibilities they take on. In addition, the children took part in a rail safety workshop, learning about the dangers of trains and train lines and how to stay safe near them.
Finally, a big congratulations to 4SM for winning this week’s Times Tables Rock Stars challenge—well done!

William has been an outstanding contributor during our reading sessions of a narrative text about gladiators. His clear, detailed explanations helped the class understand the feelings and thinking of the character, showing great empathy. His thoughtful insights sparked excellent discussion. Well done, William!
