What a truly heart-warming week we've shared with your wonderful children!

Our main focus has been nurturing the open-minded and reflective attributes of the Learner Profile. We embarked on a fascinating historical journey, where the children were asked to become time-travelers! Their task was to plan and write diary entries from the perspective of a significant historical figure. This wasn't just a writing exercise; it was a deep dive into empathy—what we affectionately call "walking in their shoes." Watching the children grapple with how their historical person felt, what they thought, and why they acted as they did has been amazing. By considering these different viewpoints, they are building crucial social skills and reflecting on the powerful idea that understanding different perspectives deepens our human connections. This kind of learning lights up their faces and we are so proud of the deep thinking they’ve demonstrated.

The excitement is building as we continue to pour our energy into the Christmas production! This wonderful project is a brilliant showcase of collaboration and commitment. The children are demonstrating such dedication, diligently learning their lines and mastering the absolutely wonderful songs. It takes a lot of effort and responsibility to put on a show, and they are rising to the challenge beautifully! We are so excited to share their hard work and festive cheer with you in just a few weeks’ time. To help their confidence soar, please do continue to encourage at-home practice of the songs, which you can find easily on Google Classroom.
