Pack 2011 knows that the families in our community are very busy! While we offer scouting activities year-round, we do not expect that every scout will attend every event. We think that our program offers lots of fun opportunities, and scouts will certainly benefit by attending our events, but the world will march on if we don't see you every week, so don't let the stress of another commitment overwhelm you.
During the school year, most of our dens (grade level groups) meet once per week. Our dens have a 'default' meeting time and location, which will sometimes shift depending on the activity (for example, dens may choose to take a hike on a weekend instead of on a weeknight in the middle of winter, when it gets dark early).
Our Pack holds an all-ages activity roughly once per month, and our dens will often not hold an event the week of the Pack event.
Some weeks we have extra optional events and activities.
Due to things like school holidays, we sometimes have weeks with no events.
During the summer, most of our dens do not meet, but we add in a few more Pack and District events.
So, a good rule of thumb is that most weeks during the school year there will be one event. It will often, but not always, be on the den's default night.
Our default meeting times/locations are subject to change based on the activity any given week, but in general this year, all our dens will meet at Virginia Run Elementary School at the following times/locations:
Excited about Cub Scouting, but our meeting times just won't work for your schedule at all this year? We encourage you to reach out to us at info@pack2011.org to ask about other nearby Packs who may have a more convenient meeting schedule for you, or you can go to BeAScout.org to search for other Packs nearby!
