There are lots of reasons to join Cub Scouts!
Cub Scouts is designed to grow Character, Leadership, Physical Fitness, and Citizenship - all things that will help our kids throughout their lives! We do this through activities that are designed for fun!
Cub Scouts fosters a growth mindset - our motto and standard is Do Your Best. Because of this, all kids can be successful in Cub Scouts!
Cub Scouts is designed as a family activity! Families can attend and participate in activities, and younger siblings are welcome to attend almost all of our events. Additionally, scouts can earn awards for doing some activities at home with their family - a great way to find something to do on a rainy day!
We welcome kids with special needs! Cub Scouts is designed with family participation in mind, so parents can participate alongside their scouts, giving them support if they need it.
Cub Scouts participate in a wide variety of activities - we learn and explore STEM concepts, outdoor skills, teamwork, building, crafts, and more! Unlike many other youth activities, every week in Cub Scouts can be vastly different. Scouts will get a chance to try lots of different activities to widen their horizons and explore their interests.
Cub Scouts is a year-round program, but we can fit into your schedule! While we have activities most weeks during the year, there's no pressure or penalty for missing activities. Some of our scouts attend every event, and some just come as they can - as long as you're having fun and learning while you're here, we're happy!
Have a conflict and can't make a meeting one week? No worries!
Your scout just doesn't want to do a certain activity? That's ok!
Have a fall sport and can't make regular meetings for a few months? We'll be here when your sports season is over!
You can try us out before you make a commitment to join! Feel free to bring your kid to a few meetings to see if they like it before registering.
