A Wonderful Visit to Ore Community Library – A Free and Fun Experience!

📚 Towards the end of term, a group of pupils had the exciting opportunity to visit Ore Community Library.  They learned how the library works, explored a fantastic range of books, discovered how to order titles, and even how to become members!

Reading plays a vital role in a child’s development — it builds vocabulary, sparks imagination, improves concentration, and helps develop empathy. Just as importantly, reading offers pleasure and escapism: the chance to travel to new worlds, meet fascinating characters, and experience adventures — all from the comfort of a chair. 

Looking for a fun and free activity with your children this summer? Ore Community Library is open to everyone — and completely free to join.

The library offers over 6,000 books for all ages — from colourful picture books to exciting junior fiction and plenty for grown-ups too. The collection is always growing, and if there was a book you or your child wanted to read, the friendly team are always happy to help.

Run entirely by volunteers, Ore Community Library is a welcoming place to discover new stories, encourage reading, and enjoy quality time as a family.
