This term Year 3 & 4 have had a wonderful time learning about smugglers! Children have explored the human and physical features of Hastings and why these made Hastings the ideal spot for smuggling...
We also looked at maps to support our ideas and the children became confident using them to spot physical features of our local area.
In science this term, children have been exploring electricity. Children learned what is needed to make a complete circuit, what materials are conductors and insulators and the function of a switch.
Children created their own circuits, experimenting with how to make a switch to turn their light on and off.
It was wonderful to see children explore using practical resources, using their scientific knowledge to make predictions and conclusions.
A huge well done to Dolphin class who blew all of us away with their wonderful Ukulele skills. The children did a wonderful job of learning different songs and changing notes seamlessly. It was lovely to see so many parents there too and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
The children had a wonderful time at sports day this year. Children participated in the races brilliantly and showed fantastic sportsmanship. They cheered eachother on, congratulated their peers and helped each other to achieve.
They really impressed us all and should be proud of their achievements.
