Chapter One

Some of the children in Years 1 and 2 recently celebrated a year of reading with their online reading volunteers from the literacy charity Chapter One. 

For the whole academic year, Chapter One’s corporate volunteers have been paired with pupils to boost their reading skills.  The reading sessions are all online via the special Chapter One reading platform. which focuses on developing children’s understanding of letters and sounds, their confidence and - most importantly - a love of reading. 

The children lovedmeeting their online reading partners in person and over Zoom and received special activity books and certificates to celebrate their achievement!
