Pupil Wellbeing Support
Pupil wellbeing is central to OVPA, where we teach students the tools to care for their wellbeing through the ‘5 Steps to Wellbeing’ displayed in classrooms. Daily activities like runs and discussions promote this focus.
KS2 pupils can become 'Wellbeing Ambassadors', contributing to assemblies and planning Mental Health Week while sharing ideas to enhance wellbeing. We foster strong, positive relationships, ensuring children feel safe and heard, with every class having a worry box for communication.
Fridays are dedicated to "Feel Good Friday," allowing classes to engage in enjoyable activities like art, music, and games. We celebrate individuality through Mental Health Week, Dress to Express days, and OVPA’s Got Talent, where the entire community comes together to recognise our talented pupils.
Following the pilot scheme of TKAT ACE, we are delighted to share that we will be relaunching TKAT ACE for children and families who are eligible.
What is the ACE Programme? A Champion for Every Child.
The ACE Programme has been developed to ensure that each child who is entitled to Pupil Premium funding has a member of staff (an ACE Tutor) to support them in achieving their full potential while at OVPA. TKAT ACE is a pastoral intervention which is tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual child in order to help them break down barriers and support them to achieve.
