Students using their OUSD Chrome accounts do not have access to add extensions. Please request this extension through your teacher or case manager.
Click the Grammarly extension on the upper right of the screen.
If you do not see the Grammarly extension, click the jigsaw icon to open the Extensions window. Click the pin to "pin it" to the extensions bar.
If the icon is not available, please request this extension through your teacher or case manager.
If this is your first time using Grammarly, you will be asked to sign up. Click Sign up.
If you already have an account, skip to Using Grammarly.
Click Sign up with Google.
Choose your OUSD account.
Complete personalizing Grammarly. Select School and click Continue.
Select graduation year (from OIS) and click Continue.
Select Spelling and grammar and click Continue.
Once you've used Grammarly, you can go back and add other options.
This option shows how your text may be conveyed. We will skip this option for now.
Select I'm not sure and click Continue.
Click Continue to Grammarly.
Here are two ways to use Grammarly:

Grammarly in Google Docs.

Grammarly's online app.
Open a Google Doc.
Start typing. Red lines will appear below grammatical errors.
A red circle with a number will appear showing how many errors Grammarly detects.
Click the underlined word(s) to view Grammarly suggestions.
Click the suggestion to use in your text.
Grammarly will replace the grammatical error.
The circle will be green when there are no errors.
Click the Grammarly icon to access the Grammarly sidebar, which will show all the grammatical errors in the document.
Click the Grammarly extension, then grammarly for Chrome.
Click the hamburger on the top left of your screen to access the main menu.
Type or paste your text into the text box. Red lines will appear below grammatical errors. Grammatical suggestions will be listed on the right.
