Audiobooks should not replace traditional reading entirely. Struggling readers need to work on specific skills to be able to read within their decoding abilities. Students need access to read grade-level assignments and to participate in classwork. While working towards their reading level, students should be engaged with a teacher, one-on-one or in a small group.
