This project was a challenge when it came to putting our skills that we have learned during class to use. There were multiple expectations to meet in order for this project to be acceptable. The purpose of this project was to customize a charm, while simultaneously considering limitations/constraints. For this project, we had to use a website, "OnShape", which is a design software used by engineers to create visual 3D models of their ideas. Using the software was a challenge itself because I didn't have much experience with the website. However, future projects that required me to use OnShape were much easier because this project had already familiarized/introduced me to Onshape.
For this project, students were expected to follow a series of videos. The videos provided step by step instructions and demonstrations on how to build a selfie stick. I believe that this project tested my abilities on how to follow specific instructions, and quickly catching and fixing any errors that were made before continuing. After the selfie stick was completed, we were able to animate our creations. The animation demonstrated how the selfie stick would function if it were actually put to use.
