During our computing ideas class, we used a website called, "Codehs". The first unit of our computing class introduced students to a "dog" named Karel. This "dog", would only complete tasks if it was given commands. These commands were taught during class, and we then put them to use when karel was required to complete a task. Although the code was complicated to order, it fascinated me how some basic commands can then be turned into something unique.

For this unit, students were required to do research on different computer inventors. Each computer inventor had there own definition of a computer, and I was able to understand and find out how computers and their uses were able to evolve throughout the decades. After my research, I believe I was able to better understand and look at a computer differently. I proved that I was able to clearly understand my research by providing direct answers to the questions.
This project I believe is a very good demonstration of my growth. This project was a challenge because students were expected to use code to customize their own website. In my opinion, customizing something is complicated because most of the time the things don't some out the way you expect it to come out. However, in this case the way my website came out is exactly what I expected it to be. This is one of the projects, that I am really proud of because I took a lot of time and dedication on it. I found it fascinating that I was able to make an entire website about myself using code that we had learned in class. I believe coding is a skill that can take you a long way, because if I ever decided to create a business, promote something, etc. I can customize a website of my own, instead of paying large amounts of money to other people.
