This essay students were expected to demonstrate a full comprehension of the novel that was being read in class. For this assignment, students were expected to address a prompt and provide full development of the claim with appropriate evidence. I believe that I was able to meet all of the expectations required considering the fact that I had a clear understanding of the novel and prompt. I believe that this assignment taught mem how to appropriately present a claim without being off topic or repetitive, which is something that I usually struggle with.
This essay was based on my personal experiences during the pandemic. Students were expected to address a prompt, set conflict to our narrative, include dialogue, use detailed description, imagery, emotion, flashbacks, etc. I believe I was able to meet all the expectations considering that fact, that I was able to take criticism from my teacher, and myself. i was able to better improve my memoir. However, I believe that next time I should really pay more attention on my spelling errors. Besides that, this assignment taught me how I can create a narrative and build off of my experiences to create a detailed and emotional memoir that many people can probably relate to.
For this creative writing story, students were expected to choose a social justice issue, in this case I chose climate change. Students were expected to create a story and a main character, that demonstrated how we can fight for change or what the negative effects could possibly be. I believe that this assignment tested me when it came to presenting a conflict, and presenting a series of details, imagery, and emotion. I believe this assignment helped me improve in including dialogue, suspense, and connecting multiple events together to create a bigger picture.
