This assignment required students to do research and provide evidence on two sides on an argument. I believe that I was able to successfully connect the evidences to the claims, while also demonstrating that the evidences and assignment were clearly understood. This assignment taught me to provide evidence and a claim to two sides of a controversial argument, while being unbias.
For this assignment students were expected to collaborate with each other in order to fill out a chart based on articles. This assignment requires students to take away important information from articles and organize the information into a chart. This assignment strengthened my ability to clearly understand an article and find the cause, effect, and impact per each important situation. This assignment was based on labor movement and workers were fighting for fair treatment such as fair paying wage, 8 workng hours, etc.
This assignment required students to go over multiple different resources based off the revolutionary war. People were affected by the revolutionary war in multiple ways. Articles were read and questions that were based on the article were answered, in order to prove that the students have had a clear understanding of the articles. The articles included multiple perspective of different people, students were expected to select a certain group and were expected to write a letter to the Continental Congress meeting to advocate for a new law that would protect the selected groups rights. This assignment taught me and strengthen my persuasive skills, which was then enforced by evidence.
