MARKING PERIOD 2
I am very proud about the perfect grade that I got on this Authentic Assessment. Throughout this assignment, I was able to demonstrate a clear understanding of polynomial functions, demonstrate weather or not a factor is a factor of polynomial, use the remainder theorem, showing zeroes of a function.
I am not entirely proud with this assignment. There was a section where we had to prove weather each of the following functions are even, odd, or neither. Although, I thought I had mastered this skill, I was wrong when I got most questions in that section wrong. I feel like I could have done better. And hope to practice this skill.
MARKING PERIOD 3
Multiple review assignments were assigned to students. Students were expected to identify each function. For example, students had to determine if a function was even, odd, or neither by looking at a graph or a table, as well as expressions by using a odd and even equation. Because students were assigned multiple review packets, I was able to get a lot of practice thus leading to a clear understanding of the taught topic.
This is an assignment I am proud of. Because students were assigned multiple review packets like the previous assignment...I was able to reflect my understanding in the final test. Although, there were a few minor mistakes here and there that I could have caught. Overall, I am proud and was able to understand why and where I went wrong.
MARKING PERIOD 4 (PRE CALCULUS SECTION)
Although, I got a passing grade on this assignment, I am still quite disappointed because I feel as if I could have done better. There were minor errors, that if I had taken my time to look over, I would have gotten right. Overall, I feel like this assignment demonstrates my understanding with end behavior, exponents, creating equations, as well as understanding the equation.
This was one of the first assignments students were given when being introduced to logarithms. I am proud of this assignment because I was able to understanding and grasp it very quickly. I was able to rewrite log expressions, simplify, use the log table, apply its properties(product, quotient, power), figure out which expressions are equivalent, etc.
