The Tribe Policy queue ensures that newly created Quora spaces comply with site policies.
The Tribe Policy queue contains spaces that have been proactively enqueued after reaching a certain threshold of views and followers. Decisions you make in the queue can restrict distribution or delete a space, among other things.
Spaces moderation is very low-touch for now. This means that the stringent moderation rules that we apply to other queues (such as editing, answer policy, etc.) don’t fully apply here. We are also working on expanding the spaces policies as we see fit.
Spaces will appear one at a time:
Follow these steps to process the queue:
Spaces with names and/or descriptions that are in wrong language (i.e., not is silo language) are allowed.
Use the translate plugin to make sure that they don't violate any other spaces policy.
Spaces with "Quora" in space name
If space name has "Quora" in it (no variants; spelled exactly this way), then the space is OK
Only Quora employees can create spaces with the word "Quora" in space name on behalf of the company
For the Icon and Cover Photo section:
Sexually Explicit or Graphically Violent icons and cover photos are not allowed for spaces:
Select “Prohibited images - Icon” and/or “Prohibited images - Cover photo” if either or both are Sexually Explicit or violate the “Gratuitously violent images/video” section of our Image Policy.
Spaces with pornographic icons and cover photos that depict child pornography, bestiality, and non-consensual sexual acts should be flagged as Sexual Exploitation (child safety) or Sexual Exploitation (adults and animals) in the overall queue decision section. Do not select the “Prohibited images - Icon” and/or “Prohibited images - Cover photo” label for these.
If it looks like a minor, don’t worry too much about being 100% sure that the image is that of a minor. All sexual images of those you perceive as minors are policy violating and the entire space should be labeled as Sexual Exploitation (child safety).
Overall Queue Decisions: Note: Selecting "Delete" is a very aggressive action so make sure you have carefully evaluated the space. Escalate the item to ProdOps / CMs for deletion if you’re not sure and flag it OK in the queue.
Label according to the policies listed on this page: Spaces Policies
Except for the Adult checkbox (step 5), policies are assessed only based on the Meta Space Content, not the Top Content
Check the Adult checkbox if it meets at least one of conditions described with the guidelines.
If the adult checkbox is preselected in the queue, then it means that the admin themselves marked the Space as adult manually.
Do not change this; make sure it is still flagged as adult when you submit the item.
Select OK if none of policies mentioned above have been violated
