The Question Policy queue ensures that questions are well-written attempts to obtain information.
Items are enqueued in the Question Policy queue in two ways: 1) user reports and 2) reviewer reports for policy violations in the Question Quality Triage and Question Vandalism queues. Depending on the policy violation, content in the Question Policy queue is collapsed or deleted, and users are notified about what policy their question violated. Because of these consequences, it is important to be accurate in this queue.
Questions will appear in the queue one at a time. You will see the question and the reason it was reported (if applicable).
Follow these steps to process the queue:
Read the question.
Decide whether the question violates a policy in the list of labels.
The labels in the queue appear in order of decreasing severity.
If a question violates multiple policies, choose the highest severity policy.
For example, if a question violates both Spam and Needs Improvement, it should be labeled as Spam.
If the question is both Wrong Language and a more severe violation like Hate Speech or Harassment and Bullying, the correct label is Wrong Language. We do not expect you to translate questions.
If the question is sexual in nature, without a clear educational purpose and in the absence of any other violation, label it as Adult content.
Otherwise, label it as OK if the question does not contain any policy violations.
We recommend using keyboard shortcuts to process this queue.
Apply this label if the question contains 2 or more minor errors or 1 or more major error.
Minor error
A minor error is a spelling, grammar, or formatting issue. Each issue is one minor error.
EXCEPTION FOR GERMAN QUORA: comma errors and verb conjugation errors count as major errors because they are very significant mistakes. See the “Major error” section below for details and examples.
For more details on how to count errors in questions, see step 2 of the Question Quality Triage guidelines.
See the formatting guidelines for more detailed information on grammar and structure.
