Gaining admission to medical schools in the US is very difficult. For international students it is extraordinarily challenging, as less than one percent of F-1 students applying to US medical schools will gain admission. See also the Yale advice on this topic, which is applicable to all universities in the USA. The numbers speak for themselves.
Students who want to pursue medicine should also consider other more viable career paths by applying for direct admission to medical school in the UK (where students apply directly for medicine as undergraduates) or in their home countries. (However, applying for medicine in the UK is also extremely competitive and there are limited seats for international students at each medical school. Students must be researching this early and be aware of the the implications of their choices in terms of future work as doctor.
Students who want to study in the US long-term may find an alternative career in something related to healthcare but which does not require medical school.

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at St. George’s University opens doors for a medical career on an international scale, having been accredited and/or approved by many external regulatory and accrediting bodies.
In the first two to five years of the program (depending upon a student’s entry qualifications), students receive instruction in the campus in Grenada. During the final two years, students complete the clinical experience in SGU’s wide array of clinical hospital affiliates in the US, UK, and Canada.
