Varies by university however generally Canada has a similar system to the US in that you cannot do a professional degree straight away. Canada does have a range of institutes and community colleges where you can do studies, especially studies with a practical component, leading to diploma and degree qualifications. Examples of these include BCIT and NAIT, where you can study specialist and technical courses with a practical component. There are also options for students to commence their studies and study "prerequisite" courses to access specific degree and diploma courses.
