Math

The 11th Grade students took part in a creative and engaging activity by designing math games using recycled materials, based on the topics studied during the third quarter. Working in groups, they applied key concepts in a hands-on way, creating challenging questions and interactive gameplay that made learning more meaningful. In addition to reinforcing the content, the activity also promoted creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness, resulting in fun and educational presentations.

Os alunos do 11th Grade participaram de uma atividade criativa e envolvente ao desenvolverem jogos matemáticos utilizando materiais recicláveis, com foco nos conteúdos estudados durante o terceiro bimestre. Trabalhando em grupo, eles aplicaram conceitos importantes de forma prática, criando perguntas desafiadoras e dinâmicas que tornaram o aprendizado mais significativo. Além de reforçar o conteúdo, a atividade também estimulou a criatividade, a colaboração e a consciência ambiental, resultando em apresentações divertidas e cheias de aprendizado.

BSS - 10th Grade

Between 11 and 16 April, our 10th Grade students represented our School on a cultural trip to Peru. The journey was an immersive exploration of Andean civilizations and the impacts of Spanish colonization in the region. The days spent in the imperial capital of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the historic citadel of Machu Picchu, and Lima significantly contributed to their understanding of History and Geography.

As the major learning takeaways from this trip, I would highlight two key aspects: by exploring architectural superposition and Inca agricultural laboratories, our students had to exercise critical thinking, geographical analysis, and historical empathy to understand the resilience of Andean culture. Furthermore, by comparing Portuguese and Spanish colonization projects, they were able to reflect on our own history and better understand our present.

BSS - 10th Grade

Entre os dias 11 e 16 de abril, os alunos do 10th Grade representaram nossa Escola em uma viagem cultural pelo Peru. O passeio foi uma imersão nas civilizações andinas e nos impactos da colonização espanhola na região. Os dias na capital imperial de Cusco, no Vale Sagrado, na histórica cidade de Machu Picchu e em Lima contribuíram significativamente para a compreensão da História e da Geografia. 

Como grandes diferenciais de aprendizagem da viagem, destacamos dois aspectos: ao explorarem a sobreposição arquitetônica e os laboratórios agrícolas incas, nossos alunos tiveram que exercitar o olhar crítico, a análise geográfica e a empatia histórica para compreender a resistência da cultura andina. Além disso, ao compararem os projetos de colonização português e espanhol, puderam olhar para a própria história e compreender o nosso presente.
