AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES PROGRAM

The students in the After School Activities Program proudly showcased their talents during the International Festival, delighting the audience with capoeira and judo performances. We were also joined by the parents, whose participation made the occasion even more joyful and special.

Each group demonstrated dedication and enthusiasm for the activities, reflecting the cultural diversity and spirit of unity celebrated at the event. Their participation highlighted the value of extracurricular activities in fostering creativity, discipline, and teamwork.

We also had the opportunity to honor Mr. Davi, our capoeira instructor, in a performance as a forró dancer, together with Ms. Marisa Vieira, from the Elementary School, showcasing yet another of his talents. Parents and guests played a special role, dancing together in a large interactive class.

On April 13, Lucas Samagaio, an After School theater teacher and member of the AME team, was once again invited to participate in storytelling for the Pre-School students during Arts’ Week.

With lots of energy and creativity, Lucas managed to engage the little ones, making them feel like the protagonists of a story full of magic and imagination. This was a very special moment, in which the children not only listened to the story but became an active part of the plot. The students’ participation was essential, and the moment was filled with laughter, guffaws, and lots of interaction. The atmosphere was brimming with enthusiasm.

Ms. Lily Levy, the company’s director, also participated in our Arts’ Week. She contributed by presenting her book, *Super Dudududa*, which she authored, to 4th and 5th Graders. The book explores how to turn ADHD into a superpower. We observed great engagement from the students, with thoughtful questions, and some felt comfortable enough to share that they also have ADHD. 

Os alunos do After School Activities Program apresentaram seus talentos durante o International Festival, encantando o público com apresentações de capoeira e judô. Também contamos com a participação dos pais, cuja interação tornou o momento ainda mais alegre e especial.

Cada grupo mostrou dedicação e alegria nas atividades, refletindo a diversidade cultural e o espírito de união celebrados no evento. Sua participação realçou o valor das atividades extracurriculares no desenvolvimento da criatividade, da disciplina e do trabalho em equipe.

Também tivemos a oportunidade de prestigiar Mr. Davi, nosso mestre de capoeira, em uma apresentação como dançarino de forró, ao lado de Ms. Marisa Vieira, professora do Elementary School, demonstrando mais um de seus talentos. 

No dia 13 de abril, Lucas Samagaio, professor de Teatro e integrante da equipe AME, mais uma vez, foi convidado a participar da contação de histórias para os alunos do Pre-School durante a Arts’ Week.

Com muita energia e criatividade, Lucas conseguiu envolver os pequenos, fazendo com que se sentissem protagonistas de uma narrativa cheia de magia e imaginação.Esse foi um momento muito especial, em que as crianças não apenas ouviram a história, mas também se tornaram parte ativa do enredo. A participação dos alunos foi essencial, e o momento foi marcado por risos, gargalhadas e muita interação, com os pequenos se divertindo enquanto exploravam o uso de instrumentos e a arte de contar histórias de forma única e divertida.
