Happy Fall! This week we learned about the season Fall and what changes we will start to see outside. 🍂
We have been completing many cut and paste activities in class. It is important to practice scissor skills at home. Some fun ways to practice with scissors at home include: cutting pictures in magazines to create collages, cutting Playdoh, cutting colored paper into small shapes to create a mosaic, etc. You can also download, print and practice with the activity below. Have fun cutting! ✂️
We love to wake up "Mama Echo" and "Baby Echo" each day. They help us learn our letters and sounds! In the first unit, we will learn how to identify lowercase letters and sounds.

In math, we continued learning how to count and write numbers 0-5.
Check out the document below to see our number writing chants. We are mathematicians!
Students will continue writing their names on their classwork each day. Please encourage your child to use all lowercase letters for their name except the first letter. Happy Writing!
There is no school on Thursday, October 2nd.
Every FRIDAY is Sailor Spirit Day! Feel free to dress your child in School #6/Oceanside gear, anchors, or anything blue!
Please empty your child's folder each day after school!
We are a NUT free school. Please send the label of ingredients for foods that are not in packaging.
Please remember that the children must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in recess and gym (Day 3).
Please continue to bring your ID with you at dismissal. It is a School #6 policy to always have your ID with you at dismissal. In the event that there is a substitute teacher, you will be required to show identification.
