Welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed the February Break (plus two bonus snow days!). We had a great week filled with lots of learning.
In Social Studies, we learned about the Lunar New Year and enjoyed a parade around the inside of our school with a few other classes. Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Next week is the beginning of PARP. Please see below for the calendar and other important information!
We love to wake up "Mama Echo" and "Baby Echo" each day. They help us learn our letters and sounds! In the third unit, we will learn how to "tap out" words to read and to spell.
This week we learned:
How to tap out (read) CVC words (ex. cat, mop, fit, etc.)
How to tap and spell CVC words
In Kindergarten, we will learn to identify and write high frequency words (sight words). We will also practicing using high frequency words in full sentences. For example, "I am ____ years old."
This week we learned:
one, two, three, four, five
In math, we learned to count and write numbers 11-20. Please continue to practice number writing at home. Great work, Little Mathematicians!
