Welcome March! We learned about how March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. We also learned more about seasons and weather. Great job, Super Scientists!
We went book shopping at the Book Fair. It was so much fun!
We went on a field trip to the Oceanside Library. We had a great time! We got library cards and checked out a book. Please note that these books need to be returned to the Oceanside Library and not to our School #6 Library. Thank you!

We love to wake up "Mama Echo" and "Baby Echo" each day. They help us learn our letters and sounds! In the third unit, we will learn how to "tap out" words to read and spell.
This week we learned:
How to tap out (read) CVC words (ex. cat, mop, fit, etc.)

In Kindergarten, we will learn to identify and write high frequency words (sight words). We will also practicing using high frequency words in full sentences. For example, "I am ____ years old."

In math, we continued learning how to count and write numbers 11-20. Please continue to practice number writing at home. Great work, Little Mathematicians!

Every FRIDAY is Sailor Spirit Day! Feel free to dress your child in School #6/Oceanside gear, anchors, or anything blue!
Please empty your child's folder each day after school!
We are a NUT free school. Please send the label of ingredients for foods that are not in packaging.
Please remember that the children must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in recess and gym on Day 3.
Please don't forget to send library books back in on Day 6. Check out the district calendar on the district website to follow our six day cycle!
Please continue to bring your ID with you at dismissal. It is a School #6 policy to always have your ID with you at dismissal. In the event that there is a substitute teacher, you will be required to show identification.
