We visited the Nature Center this week. We love learning with Mr. Gary!
We celebrated a special birthday this week. Happy Birthday, Samara!
We learned about Groundhog Day and made predictions for Monday. We can't wait to see what happens!

We love to wake up "Mama Echo" and "Baby Echo" each day. They help us learn our letters and sounds! In the second unit, we will learn how to "tap out" words and identify/write uppercase letters.
This week we learned:
How to tap out (read) CVC words (ex. cat, mop, fit, etc.)
Uppercase letters: W, X, Y, Z
In Kindergarten, we will learn to identify and write high frequency words (sight words). We will also practicing using high frequency words in full sentences. For example, "I am ____ years old."

In math, we continued learning about addition and subtraction. Great work, Little Mathematicians!

Every FRIDAY is Sailor Spirit Day! Feel free to dress your child in School #6/Oceanside gear, anchors, or anything blue!
Please empty your child's folder each day after school!
We are a NUT free school. Please send the label of ingredients for foods that are not in packaging.
Please remember that the children must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in recess and gym on Day 3.
Please don't forget to send library books back in on Day 6. Check out the district calendar on the district website to follow our six day cycle!
Please continue to bring your ID with you at dismissal. It is a School #6 policy to always have your ID with you at dismissal. In the event that there is a substitute teacher, you will be required to show identification.
