A PEEK AT OUR WEEK

We started reading and learning about different Winter holidays. We also love working "by the fireplace" in our classroom. We are excited for the holiday fun we have ahead of us!

PRACTICE AT HOME

FUNDATIONS

We love to wake up "Mama Echo" and "Baby Echo" each day. They help us learn our letters and sounds! In the first unit, we will learn how to identify lowercase letters and sounds.

This week we learned:

HIGH FREQUENCY WORDS

In Kindergarten, we will learn to identify and write high frequency words (sight words). We will also practicing using high frequency words in full sentences. For example, "I am ____ years old."

This week we learned:

me, with, she

MATH

In math, we started learning about addition. We learned how to join groups and find how many in all. Ask to hear our song about addition. Great work, Little Mathematicians!

REMINDERS

If you would like your child to order lunch, please place a note in your child's folder. 🥪
Holiday Spirit Week is 12/15-12/19. See the schedule above!
On Monday, December 22nd our class will be celebrating Grinch Day. Your child is encouraged to wear something green, Grinch themed, or holiday spirited.
Every FRIDAY is Sailor Spirit Day! Feel free to dress your child in School #6/Oceanside gear, anchors, or anything blue!
Please empty your child's folder each day after school!
We are a NUT free school. Please send the label of ingredients for foods that are not in packaging.
Please remember that the children must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in recess and gym on Day 3.
Please don't forget to send library books back in on Day 6. Check out the district calendar on the district website to follow our six day cycle!
Please continue to bring your ID with you at dismissal. It is a School #6 policy to always have your ID with you at dismissal. In the event that there is a substitute teacher, you will be required to show identification.
