Les ISMS et le Context Historique de Cyrano de Bergerac

Universalis, on vous adore!

Start here.

Universalis is a great place to start your research. It's like Wikipedia but leveled-up: it's trustworthy, it comes with built in research guides, and it's en français!

Oui oui, Wikipedia!

We don't always recommend Wikipedia as a source for in-depth research, but the Portail de littérature is is a comprehensive and well-referenced landing page that serves as an excellent place to find information and further sources.

Pro tip: Scroll down to the section called "Découvrir la littérature" for a guided breakdown of the major French litterary movements (in Europe).

En fraçais, s'il vous plaît, « History Reference Centre »

The History Reference Centre has a large selection of books, scholarly articles, and more on a huge range of historical topics. You can search by specific event, by time period, etc.

You may need a password to access this resource. Check out our "Logins to Resources" page for instructions (it's under Explora)

Pro tip: Check out the "World History" section for a specific list of topics you can find by century

Huge array of reference books, historical interest magazines and scholarly articles.
