Seesaw is an online student portfolio that gives students and teachers a way to learn & interact through pictures, videos, and text, as well as providing a means for teacher/parent communication.
Seesaw is installed on OASD iPads and is accessible with a QR code from the teacher OR through Classlink on a Chromebook.
Parents should use the Family App with information from the teacher.

Experience 5 Powerful Ways to Use Seesaw
Student accounts are primarily used by students for learning purposes, while Family accounts serve as a means for parents to actively participate in and support their child's education. Both account types play essential roles in fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
A key difference between student and family accounts is that family members can view and respond to messages sent to the family, and students cannot. Key similarities are that both can download archived journals, view approved work, and like/comment/download/save content.
There are a few reasons why you may be having trouble scanning your child's QR code. Find the most common causes and troubleshooting steps below:
Check that you have a valid Family invite from your child's teacher. The invite should have your child's name at the top, a list of instructions for connecting and a QR code.
If your QR code has been damaged (low ink, torn paper, code cut off) it will not scan properly. In this case, you can either ask the teacher for a new copy or type the URL at the bottom of the invite into any web browser. This is an alternative way to get access to your child’s journal.
Ensure you are scanning the QR code from within Seesaw. If you attempt to scan the QR code outside of the Seesaw app you will see a 'no usable data found' error message.
Make sure you hold your QR code far enough away from your camera so that the entire image can scan. Holding the QR code too close to the camera will not allow the camera to properly read the QR code.
