Request an appointment with your advisor through your NYU Google calendar. Both advisors have public calendars which will allow you to see available student appointment times. When scheduling appointments, please be sure that your calendar time zone is set to Eastern Time, otherwise your appointment time will appear incorrectly on your calendar.
To schedule an appointment:
If you have a question that does not require an in-person appointment, you can email your advisor. Please follow these best practices when communicating with your advisor:
Read your NYU email regularly. You will receive many important emails from the department and from the University that may contain instructions for registration, graduation dates, financial notices, important requirements, and more!

Do your research (first)! Much of the information you are looking for can be found in an email that has already been sent to you, this website, or the NYU website.
Do not email the same inquiry to multiple advisors and/or faculty members. If you would like multiple people to receive the same inquiry, please cc (copy) them all on the same email.
Be mindful of email response times. The standard response time for email is 1-2 business days. Keep in mind, responses may take longer during busy times of the academic calendar (registration, graduation, etc). If you do not hear back from your advisor within 2 business days, it is appropriate to follow up.
Office hours are 9:00-5:00 Monday-Friday. Emails will be answered during these hours.
Include a meaningful subject line
Example: Use “Fall Study Away Question” NOT “Quick Question!”
Consider scheduling an appointment if your email contains complex questions that can be better addressed in person.
