Hui-shan LIN has been Professor of Linguistics at Department of English, National Taiwan Normal University since 2012. She received her Ph.D. in Linguistics in 2004 from National Tsing Hua University. She has published academic articles in several internationally renowned journals and edited books such as Journal of East Asian Linguistics, Language and Linguistics, Capturing Phonological Shades Within and Cross Languages, and New Advances in Formosan Linguistics. Her research interests are mainly concerned with interface between phonology and morphosyntax, especially on tone sandhi phenomena in Chinese dialects and reduplication in Formosan languages. She has conducted several research projects on these topics, with grants from Ministry of Science and Technology. She has been the recipient of several awards, including Distinguished Professor Award (2014-2016) (offered by National Taiwan Normal University), Outstanding Professor Award (2012-2013, 2017-2019) (offered by National Taiwan Normal University), and Special Outstanding Talent Award (2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2016-2017) (offered by Ministry of Science and Technology).
