Choosing the Right Cardio Machine
There are several types of cardio machines at the gym. People are probably most familiar with the treadmill. The user chooses to walk or run. Elliptical trainers differ because they have pedals. Stair steppers have a continuously moving staircase. All three machines allow for standing workouts. Stationary bikes and rowing machines are for sitting workouts. Upright bikes are built like traditional bikes. On recumbent bikes, the user's weight is further back.

Yvonne Corelli – a certified personal trainer and an aerobics instructor
I usually start sessions on the mats. This gets the muscles stretched out and ready to work. Foam rollers are incorporated in the warm-up. Then, I play a game of catch with clients using medicine balls. Sometimes, I add in the balance trainer to up the level of difficulty. Jump ropes get the heart rate up. Stability balls, fitness bars, and resistance bands are my favorites for strength training. I also teach a group fitness step aerobics class twice a week. I utilize stepping blocks in my classes.
