Thoughout the course of your work, you may have occasion to observe bad practice or worse abuse.
This should always be reported - in the case of abuse serious action will be taken, but reporting concerns can be as much about improving the service as apportioning blame.
We must all be accustomed to feeding back what we see in the field - both good and bad. This is an important part of monitoring a service where people are always working remotely and often away from direct supervision.
If you do report bad practice, you can expect to have your concerns treated confidentially and not to have to fear reprisal.
This is because we have to foster a culture of openness and honesty, and because it is far less safe to have a culture in which people are reluctant to report concerns.Â
