A vital part of the service we provide is managing pressure areas - if we are functioning at our best, we should be ensuring that by keeping people mobile or repositioned and managing continence properly there should never be a pressure sore concern!
Unfortunately however, there will always be circumstances in which pressure sores and pressure areas are found.
It's very important that these are picked up on early when they do happen - we'll then be able to report them to the relevant people and ensure we change our care to manage them.
Pressure sores can develop quickly, and once they progress they do not always heal.
Please use this form to report your concerns.
Remember, if you're submitting a photo you'll need consent!
"It's vital to report pressure area concerns immediately, or even better - avoid them developing in the first place!"
