Welcome to the last week of a new lessons for Speech! Since we are at the end of our school year, we are going to have some fun to get ready for our summer vacation while also trying to use your good speech that you have been working hard on this summer! As you complete the following activities, remember what we work on in speech and try to use it when you are communicating during these activities. Try and use your correct speech sounds (l, r, th), use complete sentences that make sense, use appropriate conversational skills when completing the activity, and use descriptive words when discussing the items you find! Make a video discussing the 5 most important activities that are on your "bucket list" for summer. You can use the visual to the left to help with ideas. When making your video, make sure to use good sounds, descriptive words, and complete sentences! Send you video to my email: manuellal@norwalktruckers.net as a way to say goodbye and show me how your communication skills have improved!

Compare/Contrast Activities
I want you to think about school before the closure (due to COVID-19) and then school after the closure (with online learning). Make a video/write a written response discussing reasons why those events are "alike" and why they are "different." What is the same about school online and school in the building? What is different about online school and school in the building? While discussing your ideas, make sure to use correct speech sounds, complete sentences, descriptive vocabulary, and expected behaviors. Send me a video of you discussing aloud your ideas OR email a written response of the following questions and send to my email address: manuellal@norwalktruckers.net.
