*Use this week before Spring Break to "catch up" on past lessons or repeat the lessons below a couple times throughout this week! Have fun!

Speech Sounds Lesson

Have your child click on the following link below. Choose 1 sound that your child needs to work on and have them practice their sounds in words/sentences while decorating the Easter Egg on "Boom Learning." If your child is able to practice at the sentence level, have them also remember to use an adequate rate of speech (not too fast and not too slow) as well as clearly saying each sound of the given word.


Expressive & Receptive Language Lesson-Level 1

Please have your children complete the following language activities below from "Boom Learning".

*For this activity, please read the short paragraph aloud and have your child answer the comprehension questions that follow. Each question has visual choices as answers!

To expand your child's expressive language, have them click on the link below and use their "talker" if they have one and their voice to repeat each sentence with choosing the correct choice to complete the sentences.

Expressive & Receptive Language Lesson-Level 2

Please have your children click on the links below and complete the task. For this activity the children have to choose 1 word that "does not belong." To expand, after they choose the correct answer have them explain why the word does not belong.

*Important: If your child has difficulty reading words, please read the words aloud for them.

Please click on the following link below. Then, read the directions to your child and play the Connect Four Game. You can choose Synonyms or Antonyms and then when you put a token on a word, have your children think of a word that means the "same" or "opposite." To expand, have your children use the vocabulary words in a sentence that is complete, makes sense, and that uses correct grammar.

Stuttering Lesson

Have your child take the quiz about stuttering and answer the following questions:

  1. What is an "easy onset?"

  2. What is "pausing/chunking?"

  3. What is the difference between "bumpy speech" and "smooth speech"?

Then, have your child choose a book to read from home and then retell the story in complete sentences using their "speech tools" that have worked the best for them.
