Welcome to the last week of a new lessons for Speech! Since we are at the end of our school year, we are going to have some fun to get ready for our summer vacation while also trying to use your good speech that you have been working hard on this summer! As you complete the following activities, remember what we work on in speech and try to use it when you are communicating during these activities. Try and use your correct speech sounds (l, r, th, ch, sh, s), use complete sentences that make sense, use appropriate conversational skills when completing the activity, and use descriptive words when discussing the items you find! Work on having your child explain in sentences what they found, describe the item they found (what type of thing is it, what does it do, what does it look like, what is it made of), compare and contrast items, answer WH Questions about the items, etc. If your child is working on using correct sounds, have them practice by labeling the various items using their target sound (ex: "I found a leaf." --->if working on /l/.

Make a video discussing the 5 most important activities that are on your "bucket list" for summer. This means 5 things that you would want to do before summer ends! You can use the visual to the left to help with ideas. When making your video, make sure to use good sounds, descriptive words, and complete sentences! Send you video to my email: manuellal@norwalktruckers.net as a way to say goodbye and show me how your communication skills have improved!
