This first activity targets answering questions based upon specific vocabulary. To expand on the activity and to increase language, have your child express and describe the animals. What is an alligator? (It is an animal, it lives in a swamp, it has sharp teeth, etc.). If this is too difficult for your child, you can ask them Yes/No questions about the scenes and animals.

The activity targets your child's understanding of stuttering vocabulary so that he/she understands and learns all that they can about their own stuttering. If children are not directly taught stuttering vocabulary and facts about stuttering, it will be hard for them to truely understand what is happening when they are stuttering themselves.
