Image Transfer Preparation

Below I have listed the steps to completing the first steps of "Image Transfer."

Step One: Cut out your newsprint to fit over your tile. (YOU MUST USE NEWSPRINT)

Step Two: Paint desired image onto the newsprint, being careful not to paint too thick.

Step Three: Let the underglaze dry to a pale color (bone dry).

This decorative technique works best when your clay is in the wet to soft leatherhard state.
