If you want to purchase your own tools, or additional ceramics materials, you can support your local ceramics supply store. Aardvark Clay Supplies is one of the best in Southern California and it's only a few miles from Newport Beach. They do online orders and curbside pickup.
Please DO NOT purchase clay directly from Aardvark's due to the fact that clay can melt at vastly different temperatures and damage our equipment. If you need more clay please speak with your instructor.
While purchasing a tool kit IS NOT required for this class, Amazon has a number of basic kits for around $20 or less. I would not spend more than $20 on a kit, as many tools you can make yourself or improvise with things you might have at home.
Recommended kits on Amazon are shown here.
