If you want to purchase your own tools, or additional ceramics materials, you can support your local ceramics supply store. Aardvark Clay Supplies is one of the best in Southern California and it's only a few miles from Newport Beach. They do online orders and curbside pickup. 

Please DO NOT purchase clay directly from Aardvark's due to the fact that clay can melt at vastly different temperatures and damage our equipment. If you need more clay please speak with your instructor. 

1) Stamps Assignment Requirements

Create three shapes from  ½” to 1” in thickness. 

Create Three Stamps

1. Imprinted (done in the soft to soft-leatherhard stage)

2. Carved (done in the leather hard stage)

3. Additive (add clay to the stamp in the wet, to soft leatherhard stage.)

2) Roulette Assignment Requirements 

Roll three coils from ½” to 1” in thickness. 

Minimum length of each 3” long.

Create Three Roulettes

1. Imprinted (done in the soft to soft-leatherhard stage)

2. Carved (done in the leather hard stage)

3. Additive (add clay to the coil in the wet to soft leatherhard stage.
